The Most Reverend Craig E. Brown was born the eldest of three children to the late Bishop Eugene and Elect Lady Alpha Brown. He is a fourth- generation product of the Christ Holy Sanctified Church (CHSC) as his fraternal grandparents, Deacon Raymond and Mother Snow Bird Kerr-Brown and great-grandparents, Jackson and Sallie Major-Kerr were pioneers and workers in the organization saved under Mother A. Money in the 1930’s in Texas. His maternal grandparents were Bishop Robert Lincoln Searcie and Rose Britton-Searcie, founders of the House of Prayer for all Nations. His grandmother’s parents, the Brittons, were powerful evangelists on the West Coast.
An accomplished musician (plays three different instruments) and composer-song writer, Bishop Brown arranged and transcribed music scores for Word (Light) and Birthright records and served as the National Director of Music for Christ Holy Sanctified Church 1977 – 1997. He is also the Senior Pastor of Praise Tabernacle Worship Center in Culver City, CA.
