SPORTS ELITE and WELLNESS OUTREACH

As you know, in August 2016, the birth of Sports Elite and Wellness Outreach (SEWO) commenced. SEWO is an auxiliary put in place through the offices of our presiding Bishop Craig Brown. Its soul purpose is to provide assistance to youth through sports, education, and to render wellness information to our bishop and CHSC family.

In such a short time God has already blessed us to make great strides in our mission. In our first track & field academic season, we were able to work with fourteen student-athletes, sending eight students to the 2017 Track & Field City Championship Finals, and the birth of our first City Champion, Maya Richardson- 800 meter runner (San Pedro HS) who went on to finish in the Top 20 at the California State Track & Field Championships. We were able to provide running shoes and apparel to students in need and as well as produce our first Sports Elite and Wellness Outreach t-shirts for our team. We are proud of our seniors Xavier Jackson and Brandon Cabale who will be attending USC and UCI starting in the fall and I am honored to be in this position to help inspire and motivate young people.

I would like to thank Bishop Craig Brown, the Christ Holy Sanctified Church Family, and those who gave so generously to help fund the start-up of our outreach program.  If you would like to contribute toward our continued success, we encourage you to visit our website
